Logan Paul recently found himself in a pokémon card controversy after he spent $3.5 million on fake cards. Paul who has since been reimbursed spoke on the matter on his podcast. Upset with the company that ‘authenticated’ his fake product, Paul lambasted them in the latest podcast airing. “The [Baseball Card Exchange], that’s the reason you buy the box, because BBCE, [is] a ‘reputable’ authentication company,” Paul said as to why he purchased the product. His manager Jeff responded, “he shouldn’t have authenticated a cardboard box”.

“I’ve seen comments saying it’s fake, it’s not fake at all”, Paul said while discussing the fraud scheme on his podcast.

Many people accused Paul of faking the fiasco for attention, however, Paul denies doing so. One explanation to why fans thought he faked it was how obscure the situation really was. The YouTuber’s reaction to opening up a fake pokémon box only to find G.I Joe cards struck some as being a parody, but we now know this is not the case.
