NELK is Mad! Sam Pepper is Back in The News For All The Wrong Reasons

Pump and Dump

A picture of Save The Kids, 2021

Back in Summer 2021, an incident shook the entire internet. In a nutshell, a cryptocurrency token called ‘Save The Kids’ ($KIDS) was peddled by huge influencers. Once the influencers had promoted this to their millions of followers, several of them then allegedly ‘pumped and dumped’, i.e. spreading false or misleading information to create a buying frenzy that will “pump” up the price of an NFT and then “dump” shares of the coin by selling their own shares at the inflated price. This crashed the value of the $KIDS token, leaving many who bought in with a worthless coin.

One creator, in particular, Frazier “Kay” Khattri (formerly known as “FaZe Kay”), was said to be involved. While he took responsibility for his involvement in Save The Kids, it was fellow British internet personality Sam Pepper who allegedly ‘fucked him over’ by changing the anti-whale code at the last minute, allowing those involved to dump their tokens early, causing the price to crash.

“People have told me Sam [Pepper]’s plan all along was to make $1m in cryptocurrency or however and then disappear. He doesn’t care about me or my reputation or scamming thousands of people.”

“I will never be seen, associated with or work with Sam Pepper ever again. I want to apologize for being led by someone I shouldn’t have trusted so much. I should have put the time in to understand it. This has been the biggest regret and reset of my entire life.” – Fraizer Kay, on YouTube

NELK Boys NFT

Fast forward to today, the NELK Boys have released their own crypto token, the ‘Full Send Metacard’, with a limited supply of 10,000 NFTs. The Full Send Metacard will give exclusive access to what Full Send (their brand) does in the physical and Metaverse; think virtual NELK Boys.

NELK Gets Scammed?

In a video rant posted to Twitter, Kyle Forgeard explained that they ran a “friends and family” round of 500 units, giving their close contacts a chance to purchase the NFT before it hit the open market. Remember the name ‘Sam Pepper’? Well, he ended up on this exclusive list:

“That’s honestly my fault, I let him on the friends and family list, he’s always been cool to me in real life, I wasn’t honestly too familiar with his “scam shit” but he pumped and dumped. Nothing we can do man.” – Kyle Forgeard, on Twitter

Sam Pepper allegedly ‘pumped and dumped’ the NFT on its first day of release, Kyle Forgeard explained:

Sam Pepper reacts to the allegations:

Sam released a small statement on Twitter after the allegations were made against him. In a tweet, he acted as if he did nothing wrong:

Despite the ‘Pump and Dump’, NELK has made it clear they plan to stick with this project. Time will tell if the influencer group follows through. Enjoying this content? Click here to read more!
