Influencers are asking YouTube to ‘pick a side’, demanding justice following a video posted by MamaMax, which accuses the platform of protecting pedophiles:

“It honestly feels like YouTube is trying to protect these people and that is not okay. This is why we’ve got to step in.” – Mellypea

Creators speak up against YouTube:

Earlier today, YouTuber MamaMax posted a video demanding that YouTube picks a side in the fight against pedophilia, as many creators are fed up with YouTube’s inaction and one-sidedness on the issue. In his recent video, MamaMax and other creators share their experience with how YouTube is enabling pedophilia by taking down videos critical of predators.

Creators such as SomeOrdinaryGamer (3.0m subscribers), Anxiety Wars (954k subscribers), and Just Stop (183k subscribers) shared their bad experiences dealing with YouTube.

“It feels as though the system is geared against people trying to do actual good and it seems like the people that are are actually the malicious and f***ked up people in nature are the ones that may unintentionally get protected” – SomeOrdinaryGamers

“some small investigative journalism channels are being taken down because YouTube thinks people won’t notice. We need to show them that we do and if they continue to do it, it’s going to look bad on them” – Just Stop

“I learned a long time ago, you simply cannot trust google. They still delete my videos to this day” – Anxiety Wars.

MamaMax reaches out to Shane Dawson and Corpse Husband:

Additionally, MamaMax reached out to Shane Dawson encouraging him to speak on the matter. He suggested to Dawson that speaking out can be a way for him to redeem himself. Shane Dawson was accused of inappropriate behavior back in June of 2020, after early YouTube videos of his resurfaced — some of which featured Dawson acting inappropriately in front of minors.

“This is your chance to redeem yourself. Don’t squander it” -MamaMax

In regards to Corpse Husband, MamaMax shared a threatful sounding suggestion. This suggestion came after Max opened up about a soured interaction the two had together, where Max accused Corpse of throwing him under the bus:

“How about you do me the F***ing favor this time and talk about something besides yourself for once this time” – MamaMax

Youtube’s Response:

As of December 26th, 2021, YouTube has not yet made a response.

Edit (12-27-21): YouTube issued a very brief response to MamaMax late into the night.
