YouTuber Tasha K Forced to Delete Videos

According to a recent report by The Independent, rapper Cardi B has won a “permanent injunction” that will force YouTuber Tasha K to remove defamatory videos about the rapper. Additionally, the injunction has barred Tasha K from making statements about Cardi B’s private life and sexual health again.

Who is Tasha K?

Tasha K is a YouTuber who creates content revolving around celebrity drama and gossip. On YouTube, the content creator has established a fan base of over one million subscribers. However, her channel has ultimately landed her into some legal trouble.

The Ongoing Legal Battle

On Monday, April 4, 2022, a judge ordered Tasha K, whose real name is Latasha Kebe, to remove twenty-one videos defaming Cardi B from her social media platforms within the next five days. Several of Kebe’s videos included claims about the rapper’s usage of hard drugs, unfaithfulness, STIs, and prostitution.

In January, prior to the injunction filed in March, Kebe was ordered to pay Cardi B about $4 million in defamation damages and attorney’s fees. She originally sued Kebe for defamation in 2019.

In January, Cardi B’s lawyers told the court that the rapper faced “embarrassment, humiliation, mental anguish, and emotional distress” as a result of Kebe’s videos, and that Kebe orchestrated “a campaign to damage and destroy [Cardi B’s] reputation among her fans and the consuming public.”

Lastly, according to The Independent, Kebe has decided to appeal the verdict, Additionally,  if the appeals court overturns this decision, this injunction will also be revoked. As of now, it appears that Tasha K may have to take down the videos.

Back on January 25th, 2022, #DramaAlert reported on the end of Tasha K’s 3 year long libel trial, which resulted in a at least $1.25M awarded to the rapper. Click here to read more on that story.
