On Sunday, the former Minecraft YouTuber SkyDoesMinecraft, also known as Adam Dalhberg and ‘NetNobody’, has found himself in the midst of serious allegations. These allegations consist of many things, however, the worst of which are allegations of sexual harassment and domestic abuse. The situation first began with a former partner of Sky’s, named Elizabeth, however, since then, many members of the Minecraft community have spoken out. 

For ease of reading, #DramaAlert has summarized each allegation. It is advised that you read their full statements. Links to their statements can be found at the end of each summary, or wherever fit.  


Elizabeth’s Statement:

As stated previously, the first allegation to be voiced came from one of Sky’s former partners. Elizabeth, also known as Lizbuggie on the internet, took to Twitter to share her experience with the YouTuber. Her statement came with a multi-page document and a Twitter thread containing additional evidence. In this document, she makes some serious claims towards the former Minecraft Youtuber. Much of this document touches on the subject of mental illness, sexual harassment, and domestic abuse.

“[Sky] started painting on the walls with [his] blood” …  “[He] tried cheating on me with a fucking AI (artificial intelligence) Twitter account”. – Elizabeth

Summary of Elizabeth’s Allegations:

Page 1:

  • Sky allegedly liked to cheat.
  • Would steal money from companies to buy drugs and never work.
    • She would have to front the big bills.
  • Sky would not care that she was pregnant.

Page 2:

  • “You also have assaulted, and sexually harassed several woman.”
    • Allegedly paid them off to protect his image.
  • “You would constantly spread rumors of post malone saying awful things about his character”
  • “You tried cheating on me with a fucking AI (artificial intelligence) Twitter account”
  • Animal abuse allegations:
    • “You dragged my dog by his throat and threw him into the kennel then surrounded him by mirrors.”
  • “You started painting on the walls with your blood.”
  • “Saying racist comments as well as the “N” word” – allegedly happened at the hospital when he was in an inpatient hospital.
  • “ You were beyond homophobic at times yet preach equality.”

Page 3:

  • “You were willing to genuinely murder people. I had DOZENS of voice recordings of these threats,”
  • “ I then screamed “help me please” when youd throw things at me and hurt my dogs.”
  • “You faked suicide several times.”
  • “I dont want followers. I just want for everyone to listen.”

Minecraft Community Reacts & Speaks Out:

Following the release of Elizabeth’s allegations, many in the community took the opportunity to voice their own allegations regarding the former YouTuber. Most of these allegations are centered around Sky Media, the now-defunct production company associated with SkyDoesMinecraft. These allegations, collectively, share common themes, such as bullying and harassment, as well as harsh working conditions.

Additionally, some of the allegations regarding Sky claim to have taken place when the alleged victims were minors. These specific cases both claim that Sky never properly compensated or paid them for their effort. 

A handful of YouTubers also have come forward with claims that Sky was abusing his influencers by pressuring creators to disassociate with other creators. Many YouTubers have taken the opportunity to speak out about how they feared Sky, and how Sky’s actions allegedly affected them.

TimDotTV:

Following Elizabeth, the first to speak out was a fellow content creator named TimDotTV. He described his experience working at Sky Media in a tweet. On Twitter, Tim describes the experience as one of his “darkest” points in life. He alleges that the company gaslit him and mentally tortured him to the point of almost committing suicide.

Mithzan:

Following in the wake of Tim’s allegations, on Twitter, Mithzan released his own experience. In a Twit-Longer, the content creator opened up about his own experience with Sky Media.

Summary of Mithzan’s Allegations:

  • Sky Media allegedly offered Mithzan only “$5,000, [and] a 1 year non-compete”. Additionally, this proposed offer would have resulted in the right to his username “Mithizan” being transferred to Sky Media. Many in the community would label this a bad deal.
  • He alleges that the header editor, Tim, “was vilified to a completely unjustifiable reasoning”.
    • He also backed Tim’s allegations that he shared on Twitter.
  • Mithzan also made claims of harsh working conditions, citing long work hours.
    • “The working environment of the offices was disgusting, unprofessional and I’m surprised I stayed as long as I did. I felt brainwashed.”, he shared.
  • He also alleged that the CEO would harass him, spreading “horrible lies” about him.

Mithzan also claimed on Twitter that Sky Media wanted their employees to remain silent when former content creator Jinbop was arrested. Jinbop was arrested for allegedly having sexual relations with a minor, according to a Kotaku report. 

CrispyCloud:

Another content creator CrispyCloud also voiced allegations towards Sky. On Twitter, CrispyCloud alleged that Sky “scared [him] out of [a] career”. He also shared about how Sky would allegedly weaponize his following by Tweeting out DMs between the two.

Jay-Lee:

A Twitter user by the name Jay-Lee also too the opportunity to voice their alleged experience with SkyDoesMinecraft. In a write-up, Jay-Lee explains the alleged pattern of abuse that Sky displayed to him and as well as others.

Summary of Jay-Lee’s Allegations:

  • He claims that Sky pressured him to stop talking to a creator that Sky did not like.
  • He outlined alleged toxic behavior that Sky was doing during their friendship.
    • “I cut him off as a friend because of how wishy-washy he was with the friendship and how often he would upset me”
  • He claimed to have been also “accused by [Sky] for trying to trick [Sky and his partner] into a threeway” because he accidentally fell asleep in the same bed as Sky and his partner.
  • “His behavior continues to happen again and again all while those that speak out the truth have been silenced by the long-formed para-social relationship of [Sky’s] followers”
  • “All I have ever wanted for [Sky] over the years, in spite of the way he has treated me, is for him to get the help that he so clearly needs.”

 

Queen Kat (Minor at the time of allegations):

Twitter users Queen Kat also shared her experience working with the Minecraft YouTuber. In a Twit-Longer, she explains how she was a minor whilst working for Sky. Additionally, she goes on to explain that she never got compensated for her work nor credited.

“I would skip my classes and sit in the library to work on sets, I thought it was my fault that I wasn’t given credit, that I just wasn’t doing enough for him to credit me.” – Queen Kat

Deadlox:

Minecraft YouTuber Deadlox (known for collaborating in the past with Sky), also took to Twitter to share his strong feelings for the creator. At one point in his Tweet, Deadlox called Sky a “Scumbag”. In his tweet, he shares how he was scared of Sky, and claims other YouTubers were too.

Gizzy Gazza:

The Minecraft YouTuber Gizzy Gazza also shared similar allegations. Where he alleged that “[Sky] on numerous occasions in [his] career told other creators and friends not to associate” with him. This resulted in Gizzy Gazza being isolated from the community, as many influencers allegedly folded under Sky’s demands. This isolation from the community resulted in him suffering from depression and suicidal thoughts.

SetoSorcerer:

Early Minecraft YouTuber SetoSorcerer left his own statement. In his brief statement, SetoSorcerer hinted that he has his own experience with Sky, however, he is unsure if he is ready to come forward with it. Setosorcer was a predominate early Minecraft YouTuber that abruptly disappeared during the rise of Minecraft. His statement implies that Sky may have something to do with the reason he decide to leave YouTube, as he posted it around the same time other creators were posting their experience with Sky. 

SubZeroExtrabyte (Minor when the allegations took place):

SubZeroExtrabyte took to Twitter with his own statement regarding Sky and Sky Media. In a Twitter thread, the YouTuber claims that he worked with Sky since he was just 15 years old. In his Twitter thread, he discusses the amount of work that he was put through as a child, and how ultimately his hard work running Sky’s channel went unnoticed. Additionally, he shared that he was abruptly terminated from Sky Media, and never “thanked or acknowledged ” for the work he did over the years.

YouTuber Hapico shared a story regarding SubZeroExtrabyte:

YouTuber Hapico also supported SubZeroExtrabyte’s allegations by recounting an alleged incident he had while SubZeroExtrabyte was not in the Sky Media office. He hinted that Sky wanted the YouTuber to mock SubZeroExtrabyte during a call. These allegations further the notion that Sky allegedly “treats people who work from him like shit”.


A History of Mental Illness:

As of now, Sky has yet to address the matter publically; however, It is no secret that Sky, also known as Adam Dahlberg, has suffered from mental illness. For what seems like his entire YouTube career, the former Minecraft YouTuber has managed to find himself in drama because of it. However, with the recent allegations, some in the community feel that his behavior has gone unchecked, and have taken the opportunity to speak out in hopes that he will get help. For now, Sky has remained silent on the matter.

AntVenom:

Since the initial publishing of this article, YouTuber AntVenom took to Twitter to share his own experience with Adam. In his allegations, AntVenom retells the pair’s entire history. The pair’s history was relatively smooth at first, however, it slowly decayed over time. In AntVenom’s allegations, there is a noticeable decline in Adam’s health. Things took a turn for the worst in 2018, when Adam started discussing “delusional ideas”. Eventually, in 2020 and onward, Adam was described as allegedly being “in some kind of psychotic state”.  During this time, Adam requested AntVenom’s aid in the form of “grocery money”.  Eventually, AntVenom stopped the aid stating “The last time he borrowed from me though, I told him it was the last time I could help him financially, unless he was able to pay it back, and have an amazing comeback”. AntVenom ends his statement by addressing Adam. 

“Work for forgiveness. Work to right your wrongs. Show the world you can change. I won’t ever forgive you if you don’t.” – AntVenom speaking to Adam.

AshleyMarie:

In the midst of many YouTubers releasing allegations towards SkyDoesMinecraft, YouTuber AshleyMarie made a tweet as well. In her tweet, she joked about many influencers taking advantage of her back when she was 16 years of age. 

TheFamousFilms:

Minecraft YouTuber TheFamousFilms also tweeted his reaction to the situation. On Twitter, the YouTuber opened up about his experience with Adam and Sky Media. In his statement, he shared that he was misled about a possible job opportunity at Sky Media. In regards to this opportunity, he said “[the opportunity] was all a lie and I was made to believe something that wasn’t going to happen”. Additionally, in his statement, he opened up about his experience with Adam. According to TheFamousFilms, his relationship with the former Minecraft YouTuber began to sour around the time Adam broke up with his former fiance, Alesa. “Things started to change when Alesa and Adam broke up”, he shared. Also in his statement, he shared alleged private messages between himself and Adam, showing Adam’s seemingly harsh tone.
