YouTube celebrity/boxer Logan Paul is under fire after he uploaded a TikTok where he turned “GameBoy Colors & a metal Pokemon frame” into a “nice little tabletop.”
The video was first uploaded to TikTok and Twitter on December 26th. In the video, Paul turns the retro Nintendo handheld into a classic epoxy resin project. This upset many online and led to Logan Paul trending on Twitter under the Entertainment category.

Many comments on TikTok were positive, though some negative replies were left. Much of the heat came from the repost on Twitter from Logan Paul’s official account, which has gained nearly 70,000 likes and thousands of quote tweets/comments.

Another replied: “This is so dumb, not only is this bad for the environment since once this eventually goes in the trash no one is going to be able to easily separate the epoxy from the GameBoys easily., but also because you’re literally wasting good systems.” – @Mudkip971

Most complaints were about the use of the GameBoy Color. Others were the perceived disrespect for the console, and the potential damage from the epoxy resin. Users defended Paul by saying that he’s entitled to do what wants with the GameBoy Color and that Twitter users were over-reacting.
The GameBoy and GameBoy Color have sold an estimated 118.7 million units over decades of availability.
