Casey Neistat will release a documentary about fellow YouTuber David Dobrik at the South by Southwest Film Festival 2022. On the event’s official website, we can see that the 100-minute film is scheduled to have its world premiere on March 13. The documentary’s description hints that the film will address the controversial topics from Dobrik’s career.

“Even as a story of a sexual assault breaks, he’s busy covering up a near-lethal accident caught on film, intended to be entertainment.”

In March 2021, a woman revealed that she had been allegedly raped by the then Vlog Squad member Dom Zeglaitis after recording a video for Dobrik’s channel. Recently, the YouTuber Jeff Wittek told in a live stream that he is no longer a fake friend of Dobrik. The revelation came after an accident occurred to Wittek during a video shoot with Dobrik. From the description, these seem to be some of the documentary’s subjects.

This is not the first time Neistat has directed a documentary about a celebrity. In 2018 he was also behind the documentary about the singer Shawn Mendes. At the time, Neistat said it was the biggest filmmaking project of his YouTube career to date.
